Finance Manager

Miles Recruitment are currently partnered with a business established 20 years ago and still thriving to this day. They are based within easy commuting distance from Chippenham, Devizes, Melksham, Corsham, Trowbridge and are eagerly looking to appoint another Finance Manager to join the team at their head office.


The is an all-encompassing opportunity for someone that has all round finance and accountancy experience, gained from a previous SME business ranging from £1m to £5m turnover.

It is without doubt hands on whilst reporting to a director, and delivering on the administration of the ledgers, management accounts and reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and payroll.

You will have the shared resource of an Accounts Assistant, so experience of leading by example will set you apart from the rest.

Ideally someone who is AAT qualified, finishing level 4 as a minimum guideline, to back up their experience to date, would be ideal for this position.

The position requires someone numerate with a good grasp of double entry bookkeeping, who is a self-starter, organised and has accurate attention to detail. A genuine team player who is looking for a long term role and wants to be an integral and key part of the business.

Administrator

It is always an absolute pleasure when talent partnering with an SME business that has a real family feel about it, a down to earth and approachable culture, and one that looks out for each other. I am currently engaged with another SME that does just that and they need an Accounting and Office Administrator to join their fold.

The is a nice opportunity to join and work with a friendly, experienced, and knowledgeable team who are passionate about the business. You will work with a variety of colleagues from reporting to the FD to speaking with the Operators in the field.

The position offers variety, and you will have autonomy in your position to do your job with no micro-managing but still with a team around you offering on the job support when required.

The duties will include:
• Raising purchase orders and processing purchase invoices
• Raising sales invoices
• Inputting time sheets
• Managing accommodation bookings and expense claims
• Arranging vehicle repairs

Basic accounting administration experience at ledger processing level is sought after.

Microsoft office – experience is essential, as is having someone who is methodical and pays attention to detail.

It is essential that you a confident communicator who has proven experience communicating with customers, suppliers, and other team members.

As well as being someone who works on their own initiative and is self-organised, being a team player is essential as being a small company, they all muck in and cover each other’s roles for holiday cover etc or at times of peak projects.

You must also be experienced of multi-tasking and being able to cope with some pressure and deadlines when things are busy.

The role is office based in a COVID-19 safe environment and the hours are 8.30am to 5.00pm. There is a pension scheme in place, 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Salary is up to £21,000 p/a.

Location is Central Wiltshire, with an easy commute from Westbury, Trowbridge, Melksham, Devizes, Pewsey. Due to the business location, you will need a car and there is on site car parking.

Financial Accountant

I would very much like to hear from qualified accountants that are both technically and commercially sound to take on this permanent position, with this lovely and growing organisation. The role is all encompassing and offers the successful incumbent a great position to get their teeth into and own.

Your role will entail;

statutory accounting including all compliance, taxation and company secretarial
financial reporting including trial balance, balance sheet and chart of accounts
management accounting including forecasting, financial modelling, KPIs and some analysis to aid decision making and strategy planning

About you;

As well as being fully qualified, you must also possess excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
