Financial Accountant – Part time – South Somerset


Are you seeking a part time position that utilises your finance qualification and skills around your current circumstances?
If you are, this is a great opportunity for someone who can take on the following responsibilities required which will, but not be limited to;
* produce year end and statutory accounts
* prepare monthly management reporting including variance analysis; bank reporting; cash reporting
* Raise invoices for group charges
* Some tax work with external support
* Complete reconciliations; loan schedules; international bank trade admin; government claims; R&D claims; fixed assets; central cost centre


Qualified, part qualified and qualified by experience will all be considered with proven technical experience of producing statutory and management accounting. Advanced Excel skills, balance sheet controls and statutory reporting is essential with a passion to reconcile thoroughly and problem solve.
IFRS knowledge will stand you head and shoulders above the rest and it will be advantageous to have experience of consolidations, currency, and inter-company transactions.
Whilst this is a part time role, the position still offers the successful incumbent a challenging and complex role that they can get their teeth stuck into and enjoy using their skills.
You will work closely with and have the support from a strong management and executive leadership team.


In return your salary will be £44-£46k p/a FTE, ideally for 20-24 hours per week. Days and times can be agreed.
5 weeks holiday plus Bank Holidays (pro-rata), Auto-enrolment pension, private medical cover, life assurance, discounts, profit-related bonus scheme after qualifying period (6 months).

Interviews will take place on Monday 31st August and Tuesday 1st September, with a start date for September or October.

Commercial Accountant

I am looking for a fully qualified and professional Accountant (ACCA, ACA or CIMA) to join my North Wiltshire based client that I have supported previously.

The role will work cross functionally and expose you to a varied number of stakeholders and business partners. You will support Managers and senior leads with decision making based around the financials which will include costing and modelling.

To succeed in this post you must have a strong financial accounting background, as well as hold commercial acumen. Experience of new business tendering and projects will be highly beneficial.
The ability to engage and build relationships from the outset is without doubt an important and key attribute to bring to this appointment.

Training and Progression opportunities
This role will involve carrying out Health and Safety visits at client sites covering:
- Safe workplace environment without undue risk to health.
- Ensure that all Health and Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are reviewed, updated and communicated.
- Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.
- Ensure that accidents and near misses are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
- Ensure that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections, risk assessments and lone working procedures.
You will then be providing assessments and support for clients and recommending appropriate H&S packages.

We are ideally seeking someone with an agricultural background with an understanding of working practices within the farming community.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety is essential
• Some experience of customer service/sales would be highly beneficial.
• Resilient, tenacious and results driven.
• Full UK Driving license.
