Training and Progression opportunities
This role will involve carrying out Health and Safety visits at client sites covering:
- Safe workplace environment without undue risk to health.
- Ensure that all Health and Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to and are reviewed, updated and communicated.
- Ensure the completion and regular review of risk assessments for all work equipment and operations.
- Ensure that accidents and near misses are documented, investigated and recommended improvements implemented.
- Ensure that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills and fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections, risk assessments and lone working procedures.
You will then be providing assessments and support for clients and recommending appropriate H&S packages.

We are ideally seeking someone with an agricultural background with an understanding of working practices within the farming community.

• Some experience of customer service/sales would be highly beneficial.

If you are an experienced solid bookkeeper looking to enhance and build on your current accounting career and you would like to join a company that offers you ongoing professional training and will support your personal development, then we would love to hear from you!

Our client are a well established and rapidly expanding business so you would be joining them at a very exciting time!

Although based in our client's Calne office, you may be required to travel to other branches and you will get out and about visiting clients onsite so you must have your own transport for work.

Your role will be responsible for the preparation of bookkeeping records and management accounts for a variety of clients including VAT and CIS returns.

Ideally you will: -

* Hold a professional qualification such as an accountancy degree or part AAT qualification.

* Have experience gained from a chartered accountancy background.

* Have recent experience of looking after your own client base or experience of working on multiple accounts.

* Practice accountancy experience is an advantage, but not essential.

* Excellent verbal and interpersonal and written communication skills are vital as you will be speaking, writing to and meeting clients.

* Proficiency in the use of Sage Line 50, Xero and Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel).

* Knowledge of understanding personal and business tax.

* Recent knowledge of VAT and CIS legislation will be highly advantageous.
